Getting There

  • Car

    If you're traveling by car, start by getting onto I-84 E from anywhere in Treasure Valley. Follow I-84 E for about 15 miles. Take exit 46 for Eagle Road and turn left onto Eagle Road. Continue on Eagle Road for about 6 miles until you reach the intersection with State Highway 44. Turn left onto State Highway 44 and drive for about 3 miles. Look for the entrance to Eagle Island State Park on your left at 165 Eagle Island Pkwy, Eagle, ID 83616.

  • Public Transportation

    For public transportation, take a ValleyRide bus (Route 1 or 2) to the Eagle stop. From the bus stop, you will need to walk approximately 1.5 miles to Eagle Island State Park. Head northwest on Eagle Road for about 1 mile, then turn left onto State Highway 44 and walk for another half mile until you reach the park entrance at 165 Eagle Island Pkwy. Be sure to check the ValleyRide schedule in advance for bus times. Note that there may be a small fare for the bus, typically around $1.50 to $2.00.

  • Bicycle

    If you're feeling adventurous and want to bike to Eagle Island State Park, there are several bike paths available. Start from downtown Boise and follow the Boise River Greenbelt Trail. This scenic route will take you through parks and along the river. Continue until you reach Eagle Road. From there, head north on Eagle Road until you reach State Highway 44. Turn left onto State Highway 44 and bike for about half a mile to reach the park entrance at 165 Eagle Island Pkwy. Ensure you wear a helmet and follow all traffic rules. There are no additional costs for biking, but consider bringing your own water and snacks.
