    Start at the Arlington Heights Metra Station, located at 45 W Northwest Hwy, Arlington Heights, IL. Board the Metra Union Pacific Northwest Line train heading towards Chicago. The train ride takes approximately 40 minutes. Once you arrive at the Ogilvie Transportation Center in Chicago, exit the train station and head towards the main exit.

    Upon exiting Ogilvie Transportation Center, walk towards the intersection of Washington Blvd and Canal St. Cross Canal St and continue east on Washington Blvd for about 0.5 miles until you reach Wacker Dr. Turn left on Wacker Dr and walk north until you reach Michigan Ave. Turn right onto Michigan Ave, and the American Writers Museum, located at 180 North Michigan Ave, will be on your right-hand side.

    At Ogilvie Transportation Center, catch the #20 Madison bus from the stop located outside the station. Stay on the bus for approximately 10-15 minutes and get off at the Michigan Ave & Lake St stop. Walk north on Michigan Ave for a block, and you will find the American Writers Museum at 180 North Michigan Ave on your left.
