From Arlington Heights Metra Station, take the Union Pacific Northwest Line train towards Chicago. The journey will take approximately 40 minutes. Ensure you are seated comfortably and enjoy the views as you travel. Once you arrive at the Ogilvie Transportation Center in downtown Chicago, follow the signs to exit the station. You are now in the heart of the Chicago Loop!

At the Arlington Heights bus terminal, board the Pace Bus Route 696 heading towards the Northwest Transportation Center. The ride will take about 25 minutes. Once you arrive at the Northwest Transportation Center, transfer to the Pace Route 423 bus towards Chicago. After approximately 30 minutes, you will reach the Chicago Loop. Get off at the nearest stop, and you will find yourself in the bustling area of the Loop.

If you prefer cycling, rent a bike from a local bike shop or use a bike-sharing service. Start your journey on the Arlington Heights bike paths heading south. Follow the path towards the Des Plaines River Trail, which will take you through scenic routes. Once you reach the river, continue to follow the trail south until you reach downtown Chicago. The total ride will take about 1.5 to 2 hours, depending on your speed.
