Getting There

  • Train

    From Arlington Heights, make your way to the Arlington Heights Metra Station located at 45 W Northwest Hwy, Arlington Heights, IL 60004. Board the Metra Union Pacific Northwest Line train towards Chicago. The journey to Chicago Union Station will take approximately 40 minutes. Once you arrive at Union Station, you can switch to the 'L' train.

  • L Train

    After arriving at Union Station, follow the signs to the 'L' train system. Purchase a ticket for the 'Blue Line' and board the train heading towards O'Hare. Get off at the Washington Station (5 stops). From there, transfer to the 'Red Line' at State & Lake Station. Take the Red Line towards 95th/Dan Ryan and get off at the State & Clark Station (1 stop). You will then walk towards Millennium Park.

  • Bus

    Alternatively, from the Arlington Heights Metra Station, you can take the Pace Bus Route 696 towards the 'Schaumburg Bus Terminal.' Transfer at the Woodfield Mall to the Pace Bus Route 700 towards 'Elk Grove Village.' Get off at the 'Schaumburg & Golf' stop and transfer to Bus Route 130 towards 'Schaumburg.' You will then need to take the 'Blue Line' train from the Woodfield stop to reach downtown Chicago, then follow the 'L' train instructions to reach Millennium Park.

  • Walking from Downtown

    If you find yourself in downtown Chicago after taking the train, Millennium Park is easily accessible by foot. From State & Clark Station, walk east on Washington Street until you reach Michigan Avenue. Turn left (north) and walk a few blocks until you see the entrance to Millennium Park at 201 E Randolph St. The park is a popular tourist attraction and easy to locate.
