From Arlington Heights Metra Station, take the Union Pacific Northwest Line train towards Chicago. The train ride will take approximately 40-50 minutes. Disembark at the Ogilvie Transportation Center in Chicago. From there, transfer to the 'L' train at the Washington/Wells station (you can walk to this station in about 10 minutes). Take the Brown Line towards Kimball, and get off at the Sedgwick station. The Newberry Library is a short 10-minute walk from the Sedgwick station. Head east on W North Ave, then turn south onto N Wells St. Continue until you reach W Walton St, where you'll turn left. The Newberry Library will be on your right at 60 W Walton St.

From Arlington Heights, take the Pace bus route 696 from the Arlington Heights Village Hall stop. The bus will take you to the Rosemont CTA station. From Rosemont, take the 'L' Blue Line train towards Forest Park. Transfer at the Clark/Lake station to the Brown Line towards Kimball. Get off at the Sedgwick station. Walk east on W North Ave, then turn south onto N Wells St. Continue to W Walton St and turn left. The Newberry Library will be on your right at 60 W Walton St.
