Public Bus
From Arlington Heights, head to the nearest bus stop on Northwest Highway. Take the Pace Bus Route 696 towards the Rosemont 'L' station. Get off at the 'S. Cicero Ave & W. 35th St' stop. From there, transfer to the CTA Bus #62 towards 'W. 35th & Kedzie'. Ride until you reach 'Museum Campus'. Soldier Field is a short walk from the bus stop.
Train
Walk to the Arlington Heights Metra Station located at 45 W. Northwest Hwy. Board the Metra train on the Union Pacific Northwest Line towards Chicago. Alight at the Ogilvie Transportation Center. From there, transfer to the CTA Pink Line at 'Washington/Wells' station. Ride to the '18th' station and then transfer to the CTA Bus #12 at '18th & Canal' towards 'Museum Campus'. Soldier Field is a short walk from the bus stop.
Bicycle
If you prefer biking, you can rent a bike from a local bike-share program. Start from Arlington Heights and head south on Arlington Heights Road, then take the path to the Des Plaines River Trail. Follow the trail south until you reach the Chicago River, then turn east towards Soldier Field. The ride should take about 40 minutes, depending on your pace. There are bike racks available near Soldier Field.
Walking
For the adventurous, you can walk from central Arlington Heights. Start at the Arlington Heights Village Hall, head south on Arlington Heights Road to Northwest Highway, then follow the sidewalk towards the Metra Station. From there, you can take the train as described above, or continue walking if you feel up for the challenge. It’s approximately 25 miles to Soldier Field, which could take about 8 hours on foot, so plan accordingly.
