Getting There
Public Transit - Metra
Start at the Arlington Heights Metra Station, located at 45 W Northwest Hwy. Board the Metra train on the Union Pacific Northwest Line towards Chicago. The journey will take approximately 40 minutes. Get off at the Ogilvie Transportation Center. From Ogilvie, exit the station and head towards the Washington/Wells L station. Take the Brown Line 'Loop' train towards Kimball. After 4 stops, get off at the State/Lake station. Exit the station and walk east towards the Chicago River. Continue walking until you reach E Grand Ave. Turn left and walk until you arrive at 600 E Grand Ave, where Tall Ship Windy is located.
Public Transit - Bus
From the Arlington Heights downtown area, walk to the nearest bus stop for the PACE bus service. Board the PACE 696 bus towards the Rosemont CTA station. Ride for approximately 25 minutes until you reach the Rosemont station. From there, transfer to the Blue Line train towards O'Hare and ride for 4 stops until you reach the UIC-Halsted station. Change to the Pink Line train towards 18th and ride for 4 stops until you reach the Damen station. At Damen, switch to the Blue Line towards Forest Park. Ride for 6 stops until you reach the Washington station. From there, walk east toward the Chicago River, then turn left on E Grand Ave to find Tall Ship Windy at 600 E Grand Ave.
Walking
If you are already near downtown Arlington Heights, you can take a scenic walking route. Head south on Northwest Hwy towards E Campbell St. Continue walking until you reach S Arlington Heights Rd. Turn left onto S Arlington Heights Rd and walk to the Arlington Heights Metra Station. At the station, board a train on the Union Pacific Northwest Line towards Chicago. After reaching Ogilvie Transportation Center, exit the station and walk to the Washington/Wells L station. Get on the Brown Line towards Kimball, transferring at State/Lake station, and then walk east to E Grand Ave to reach Tall Ship Windy.
