To reach the Old Joliet Prison from Aurora, start by walking to the Aurora Transportation Center located at 233 N Broadway Ave. From there, take the Metra Union Pacific West Line train towards Elburn. Get off at the Route 59 station. Once at Route 59, transfer to the Pace bus #715 towards Joliet. After approximately 25 minutes on the bus, disembark at Collins Street and walk about 0.5 miles to reach the Old Joliet Prison at 1125 Collins St, Joliet, IL 60432.

If you prefer to bike, start from downtown Aurora. Head south on Broadway Street and continue onto Illinois Route 25. Follow Route 25 until you reach the intersection with Collins Street in Joliet.
