Getting There

• Public Transit

  If you are in Berwyn, start by heading to the nearest 'Metra' station, which is the Berwyn Station located at 3701 S. Grove Ave. From there, take the Metra BNSF Railway line towards Chicago Union Station. After approximately 30 minutes, disembark at the Chicago Union Station. Once you arrive, exit the station and walk towards the 'Union Station' bus terminal. You will need to catch the #54A or #54B bus heading towards the 'Central and Congress' stop. After about 25 minutes on the bus, get off at the stop for 'Central Ave & Congress Pkwy.' From there, walk south on Central Ave for about 5 minutes to reach Columbus (Christopher) Park, located at 500 S Central Ave, Chicago, IL 60644.

• Biking

  For those who prefer biking, you can rent a Divvy bike from one of the stations in Berwyn. Start from the nearest Divvy station and head east towards the Des Plaines River Trail. Follow the trail north until you reach the intersection with Central Ave. Turn left (west) onto Central Ave and continue to bike for approximately 4 miles until you reach Columbus (Christopher) Park at 500 S Central Ave. The ride should take about 30-40 minutes depending on your pace.

• Walking

  If you are feeling adventurous and want to walk, start from the center of Berwyn at the Berwyn Metra Station. Head east on Ogden Ave for about 1 mile until you reach Central Ave. Turn left (north) on Central Ave and walk approximately 3 miles. Columbus (Christopher) Park is located at 500 S Central Ave, Chicago, IL 60644. The total walk will take about 1 hour and 15 minutes, so be sure to wear comfortable shoes and stay hydrated.
