Getting There

• Public Transit (Bus)

  From the Berwyn Metra Station, take the Metra train to the Chicago Union Station. Upon arrival, exit the station and head to the nearby bus stop at Canal Street and Jackson Boulevard. Board the #20 Madison bus heading west. Stay on the bus until you reach the intersection of Western Avenue and Fullerton Avenue. Transfer to the #74 Fullerton bus heading east. Get off at the stop near the Lincoln Park Zoo. The zoo entrance should be within a short walking distance from the bus stop.

• Public Transit (Train and Bus)

  Start at the Berwyn Metra Station and take the Metra train towards Chicago. Get off at the Ogilvie Transportation Center. From there, walk to the Washington/Wells subway station and take the Brown Line train towards Kimball. Ride the train until you reach the Fullerton station. Exit the station and walk east on Fullerton Avenue for about 5 minutes until you reach the Lincoln Park Zoo entrance.

• Biking

  If you prefer biking, you can rent a bike from a local bike-sharing service. Start from the Berwyn area and head towards the Salt Creek Trail. Follow the trail north until you reach the Des Plaines River Trail. Continue along the river trail heading northeast until you reach Lincoln Park. Once you arrive in Lincoln Park, follow the signs leading to Lincoln Park Zoo. This route will provide a scenic ride through parks and along the river.

• Walking (if nearby)

  If you are already in the Lincoln Park neighborhood, simply walk towards the Lincoln Park Zoo. Use a map app on your phone to find the best walking route. The zoo is located at 2001 N Clark St, which is easily accessible from various points in Lincoln Park. Follow the local street signs to guide you to the zoo entrance.
