Once at Union Station, follow the signs to the 'Ogilvie Transportation Center' exit and walk towards the Washington/Wells Station for the 'L' train. Board the Brown Line or Orange Line towards your desired direction. If you take the Brown Line, get off at the State/Lake stop and transfer to the Red Line. Take the Red Line towards Howard and get off at the Grand stop. From there, walk east on Grand Avenue until you reach Michigan Avenue. Turn left on Michigan Avenue and walk north for about 0.5 miles until you reach Tribune Tower at 435 Michigan Ave.

    From Berwyn, walk to the nearest bus stop that services CTA routes. You can catch the Pace Bus Route 302 or 303 towards the CTA Pink Line. Ride the bus until you reach the Kedzie station, where you will transfer to the Pink Line. Take the Pink Line towards 18th/Cicero and get off at the Damen stop. From there, walk to the nearby Western station to catch the Blue Line towards O'Hare. Ride the Blue Line until you reach the Washington stop.
