If you are near the Magnificent Mile, you can easily walk to Shoreline Sightseeing's Michigan Avenue dock. Head north on Michigan Avenue towards the Chicago River. The dock is located at 401 N Michigan Ave, on the northeast corner of the Michigan Avenue Bridge, steps off the Magnificent Mile. Look for the red, white, and blue Shoreline Sightseeing boats.
