Getting There

• Public Transit

  From Berwyn, walk to the Berwyn Metra station located at 6820 Windsor Ave. Catch a train on the BNSF line towards Chicago Union Station. After approximately 15-20 minutes, disembark at the Chicago Union Station. From there, transfer to the CTA 'Pink Line' train at the Damen station, located about a 10-minute walk from Union Station. Ride the Pink Line to the Damen stop. Once you exit, walk to the nearby Blue Line station at 18th and Damen. Take the Blue Line towards O'Hare and get off at the Washington station. Walk to the Washington & State bus stop and take the #10 bus towards North Avenue. Get off at the North & Elston stop, then walk north on North Avenue, continue until you reach Lincoln Park W. The Ulysses S. Grant Monument will be on your left at 2045 N Lincoln Park W.

• Walking

  If you prefer to walk, start at the Berwyn Metra station at 6820 Windsor Ave. Walk north along Windsor Ave to Ogden Ave and turn left. Walk along Ogden Ave until you reach the Cicero Pink Line station. Take the Pink Line towards 18th, transfer to the Blue Line at the Damen station. From there, take the Blue Line towards O'Hare, and get off at Washington station. Walk over to the Washington & State bus stop and take the #10 bus towards North Avenue. Get off at the North & Elston stop and walk north on North Avenue until you reach Lincoln Park W. The Ulysses S. Grant Monument will be on your left at 2045 N Lincoln Park W.

• Bicycle

  For those who prefer biking, start at Berwyn, and head east towards Ogden Ave. Connect to the Des Plaines River Trail heading north until you reach the Chicago River. Follow the river north until you reach the Lincoln Park area. Once in Lincoln Park, follow the paths towards Lincoln Park W. The Ulysses S. Grant Monument is located at 2045 N Lincoln Park W. Ensure you are following bike lanes and paths safely.
