Bus
To reach the Bridge over South Pond from downtown Chicago, head to the nearest bus stop and take the #151 or #156 bus heading north. If you're at State & Washington, catch the #151 at State and go north. Get off at the intersection of Clark St & Armitage Ave. Walk east on Armitage Ave towards Lincoln Park. After about 5 minutes, you will reach the park where the South Pond is located. The bridge is situated over the pond.
Train
If you prefer the train, go to the Clark/Lake station and take the Brown Line towards Kimball. Get off at the Fullerton station. From there, exit the station and walk east towards Lincoln Park. It’s about a 10-minute walk straight into the park. Once you reach the park, follow the path around the pond to find the Bridge over South Pond.
Walking
If you are already in Lincoln Park, simply make your way to Lincoln Park Zoo. From the zoo, walk towards the pond which is a short stroll away. The Bridge over South Pond is easily visible from the paths within the park and can be reached in about 5-10 minutes on foot from the zoo.
Bicycle
For a more scenic route, consider renting a Divvy bike. Locate the nearest Divvy station downtown and rent a bike. Head north on the Lakefront Trail, and follow the signs leading to Lincoln Park. Once you reach the park, park your bike at a nearby station and walk towards the South Pond where the bridge is located.
