Public Transit
From any point in Bolingbrook, head to the nearest bus stop that services Pace Transit. You will want to take Pace Route 836 towards the 'Downers Grove' station. The bus will take approximately 25 minutes to reach the Downers Grove station. From there, transfer to the Metra BNSF Railway Line towards Chicago Union Station. Once on the train, ride for about 30 minutes until you arrive at the 'Union Station' stop. Upon exiting, follow signs for the 'L' train and take the Pink Line towards '54th/Cermak'. Get off at the 'Polk' stop. From Polk Station, walk about 15 minutes northeast to reach McCormick Place at 2301 S Martin Luther King Dr.
Rideshare
If you prefer a more direct route, consider using a rideshare service like Uber or Lyft. Open the app and set your pickup location in Bolingbrook. Enter 'McCormick Place, 2301 S Martin Luther King Dr, Chicago, IL 60616' as your destination. The ride will take approximately 45 minutes depending on traffic conditions. Just sit back and enjoy the ride!
Bicycle
For a more active option, you can rent a bike through a local bike-sharing program if available. Start by cycling north on Route 53 towards the I-55 trail. Follow the trail into Chicago. Once you reach the city, navigate towards S Martin Luther King Dr. McCormick Place will be on your left at 2301 S Martin Luther King Dr. The bike ride will take about 1.5 to 2 hours depending on your pace.
Walking
If you are staying close to a public transit hub, consider walking to the nearest Pace bus stop. However, walking all the way from Bolingbrook to Chicago is not recommended as it takes about 5 hours. Instead, use public transit for part of the journey. If you are already in a nearby area with access to the Pink Line, walk to the nearest station and follow the train directions as described previously.
