From Bolingbrook, head to the nearest bus stop on the intersection of Boughton Rd and Schmidt Rd. Take the Pace Bus Route 755 towards Joliet. Remain on the bus for approximately 30 minutes and disembark at the 'Joliet Metra Station' stop. From there, transfer to the Pace Bus Route 501, which will take you directly to Collins St. The Old Joliet Prison is a short walk from the bus stop at Collins St.

If you are near the Bolingbrook Promenade, you can start your journey by walking towards the intersection of Boughton Rd and S. Weber Rd. Then, head northeast on S. Weber Rd until you reach the nearest bus stop. From there, take the Pace Bus Route 755 to Joliet. Once you reach the Joliet Metra Station, you can easily transfer to the Pace Bus Route 501 which will take you to Collins St. After getting off at Collins St, it is just a short walk to Old Joliet Prison.

For cycling enthusiasts, you can ride your bike from Bolingbrook towards Joliet. Start your ride heading north on S. Weber Rd. You will pass through various neighborhoods. Continue on S. Weber Rd until you reach the junction with E. Jefferson St. Turn right onto E.
