Public Bus
From Bolingbrook, walk to the nearest bus stop on IL-53 (S. Bolingbrook Dr). Take the Pace Bus Route 834 towards the Romeoville Metra Station. After about 30 minutes, get off at the stop for the 'Romeoville Metra Station'. From there, catch the Metra Rock Island Line train towards Chicago. The train ride will take approximately 45 minutes. Once you arrive at the 'Chicago LaSalle St' station, exit and walk east on W Van Buren St towards S Michigan Ave. Turn right on S Michigan Ave, and after a 10-minute walk, you will reach the Carbide & Carbon Building at 230 Michigan Ave.
Bicycle Rental
If you prefer cycling, you can rent a bike from a local rental service in Bolingbrook. Start by heading toward the Illinois & Michigan Canal Trail. Follow the trail north towards Chicago, which will take approximately 1.5 to 2 hours depending on your pace. As you approach downtown Chicago, continue towards S Michigan Ave. Once you reach S Michigan Ave, turn right, and after a short ride, you will find the Carbide & Carbon Building at 230 Michigan Ave.
Walking
If you are up for a longer walk, you can start from the center of Bolingbrook. Head north on S Bolingbrook Dr until you reach the intersection with W Boughton Rd. Turn right and continue walking until you reach the Metra train station in Downers Grove. From here, board a train heading towards Chicago Union Station. Once you arrive at Union Station, walk east on Jackson Blvd, then turn left onto S Michigan Ave. After a 15-minute walk, you will arrive at the Carbide & Carbon Building at 230 Michigan Ave.
