Public Transit - Bus

If you're starting from downtown Chicago, walk to the nearest bus stop on State St. and take the #146 bus towards 'Museum Campus'. Stay on the bus for about 15 minutes until you reach the stop at 'Adler Planetarium'. From the bus stop, walk a short distance towards the lake, and you will see the Adler Planetarium ahead.
Public Transit - Train

From the 'Jackson' station on the Blue Line, transfer to the Red Line at 'State/Lake' station. Take the Red Line south towards '95th/Dan Ryan'. Get off at the 'Cermak-Chinatown' station and transfer to the #21 bus. Take the #21 bus towards 'Museum Campus' and get off at the 'Adler Planetarium' stop. Walk towards the lake to reach the entrance.

If you're staying in the Museum Campus area, simply walk towards the lake from any point in the campus. The Adler Planetarium is located at 1300 S Lake Shore Dr, easily accessible by foot. Follow the paths leading towards the lakefront, and you will see the planetarium building as you approach the shoreline.

From 'O'Hare International Airport', take the Blue Line train towards 'Forest Park'. Transfer at 'Washington' station to the 'Pink Line' and take it to '18th' station. From there, catch the #18 bus towards 'Museum Campus'. Get off at the 'Adler Planetarium' stop, and walk towards the lakefront.
