Bus

If you're starting from downtown Chicago, you can take the #151 bus heading north from the Michigan & Washington stop. Stay on the bus for about 25-30 minutes, and get off at the stop at Stockton & Fullerton. From there, walk east for about 5 minutes, and you'll see the entrance to Lincoln Park Zoo on your left.
L Train

You can take the Brown Line or the Purple Line from downtown Chicago. If you're near the Washington/Wells station, board a Brown Line train heading towards Kimball. Get off at the Fullerton station. When you exit, walk east on Fullerton Avenue for about 10 minutes until you reach Lincoln Park Zoo.
