Getting There

• Public Transit

  If you are starting from downtown Chicago, head to the nearest 'L' train station. Take the Red Line toward Howard and get off at the Clark/Division Station. Once you exit the station, head east on Division Street until you reach State Street. Turn right on State Street and continue south until you reach Walton Street. Turn left on Walton Street, and the Newberry Library will be on your left at 60 W Walton St.

• Bus

  Find the nearest bus stop for Chicago Transit Authority (CTA). You can take the #70 Division bus heading west. Get off at the intersection of Division and State Street. From there, walk south on State Street until you reach Walton Street. Turn left on Walton Street, and the Newberry Library will be located at 60 W Walton St on your left.

• Walking

  If you are in the Near North Side area, you can easily walk to the Newberry Library. Head south on Wells Street until you reach Walton Street. Turn left on Walton Street, and continue walking until you reach 60 W Walton St. The library will be on your left.

• Bicycle

  If you have access to a bike, you can ride to the Newberry Library. Make your way to the nearest bike lane and head toward the North Avenue area. Follow North Avenue heading south until you reach State Street. Turn right on State Street, and then turn left on Walton Street. Continue on Walton Street until you arrive at 60 W Walton St.
