Locate the nearest bus stop for the Chicago Transit Authority (CTA). If you are near the Water Tower Place, you can catch the #151 bus at the stop on N. Michigan Ave. Ride the bus southbound towards the Loop, and get off at the stop at E. Wacker Drive. From there, walk east on E. Wacker Drive until you reach N. Michigan Ave, then turn left and walk a short distance to 401 N Michigan Ave.

If you are near the State/Lake Station on the Brown, Green, Orange, Pink, or Purple Line, take the train towards the Loop. Get off at the State Street exit and walk east towards Wacker Drive. Once you reach Wacker Drive, turn left and walk north until you reach N. Michigan Ave. Turn left again, and you will arrive at 401 N Michigan Ave.
