Explore the Historic McCormick Bridgehouse & Chicago River Museum

Getting There

• Walking

  If you're already in the River North neighborhood, you can easily walk to McCormick Bridgehouse & Chicago River Museum. Start by heading south on State Street towards the Chicago River. Once you reach the river, turn left and walk east along the riverwalk. Continue walking for about 10-15 minutes, and you will arrive at 99 Chicago Riverwalk. The museum will be on your right, just before the bridge.

• Public Transportation - Bus

  You can take the Chicago Transit Authority (CTA) bus to reach the museum. Look for the #125 Water Taxi bus or #29 State bus. If you're near the intersection of State Street and Hubbard Street, catch the #29 bus heading south. After about 10 minutes, get off at the Washington Street stop. From there, walk east on Washington Street until you reach the Riverwalk, then head left and walk to 99 Chicago Riverwalk.

• Public Transportation - Train

  If you're near a CTA train station, you can take the Red Line or Blue Line to the State/Lake station. From State/Lake, exit the station and walk east along Lake Street until you reach the Riverwalk. Once you reach the river, turn left and walk along the riverwalk for about 10 minutes until you get to 99 Chicago Riverwalk.

• Biking

  Biking is a great way to explore River North and reach the museum. You can use Divvy, Chicago's bike-sharing service. Find a Divvy station nearby, rent a bike, and head south towards the Chicago River. Once at the river, ride east along the Riverwalk bike path until you arrive at the McCormick Bridgehouse & Chicago River Museum at 99 Chicago Riverwalk.
