Getting There

• Walking

  If you are in downtown Arlington Heights, start at the Arlington Heights Metra Station. Exit the station and head east on Northwest Highway (US-14) for about 0.3 miles until you reach the intersection with Arlington Heights Road. Turn left on Arlington Heights Road and continue north for about 0.5 miles. You will reach the intersection with Euclid Avenue. At this point, you can take the Pace bus route 696, which travels toward Chicago. Board the bus and ride for approximately 30 minutes until you reach the stop at the intersection of North Geneva Terrace and West Wrightwood Avenue. From there, walk approximately 0.3 miles east on Wrightwood Avenue until you reach Arlington Deming Historic District at 2469 N Geneva Terrace.

• Public Transit

  From the Arlington Heights Metra Station, take the Metra Union Pacific Northwest Line towards Chicago. Get off at the Des Plaines Station (approximately a 20-minute ride). From there, transfer to Pace bus route 226 heading towards the Chicago area. Ride for about 25 minutes and get off at the stop at the intersection of North Geneva Terrace and West Wrightwood Avenue. Walk east on Wrightwood Avenue for about 0.3 miles to reach the Arlington Deming Historic District.

• Biking

  Starting from the center of Arlington Heights, rent a bike from a local bike-sharing service. Head east on Northwest Highway (US-14) for about 0.3 miles. Then turn left onto Arlington Heights Road. Continue north until you reach Euclid Avenue. Here, you can choose to bike along the designated bike lanes to Chicago. Follow the bike routes, which will lead you to North Geneva Terrace, where the Arlington Deming Historic District is located. The total biking distance is approximately 5 miles and should take about 20-30 minutes.
