Public Transit
From Cicero, walk to the nearest 'CTA Pink Line' station, which is at 18th Street & Cicero Ave. Take the Pink Line train towards 'California'. Transfer at '18th & California' to the 'CTA Blue Line'. Board the Blue Line train towards 'O'Hare'. After approximately 20 minutes, get off at 'Loomis'. From the Loomis station, walk to the 'Loomis & 18th' bus stop and catch the 'Cook-DuPage' bus towards 'Ottawa'. This bus will take you to Oglesby. Once you arrive in Oglesby, you can take a taxi or rideshare service to reach Starved Rock State Park, which is about 5 miles away.
Train and Bus
Walk from Cicero to the nearest Metra station, which is the 'Cicero Metra Station'. Take the Metra 'BNSF Railway Line' towards 'Aurora'. Get off at 'La Grange Road' station. From there, you will need to take a taxi or rideshare to reach the 'La Grange Road & 55th Street' bus stop. From this stop, board the 'Illinois Valley Public Transit' bus heading towards 'Oglesby'. This will take you directly to Oglesby. Once in Oglesby, take a local taxi or rideshare for the short trip to Starved Rock State Park.
Combination of Biking and Public Transit
If you prefer biking, you can rent a bike in Cicero. Cycle towards the nearest 'Metra' station, like 'Cicero Metra Station', and take the train towards 'Aurora'. After getting off at 'La Grange Road', continue cycling towards Oglesby. It's approximately a 30-mile bike ride, so ensure you are prepared for the journey. Once you reach Oglesby, follow local signs or use a map application to navigate to Starved Rock State Park, which is about 5 miles away.
