From any location in the Driftless Area, navigate to IL-178. If you are starting from the town of Oglesby, head north on IL-251, then turn right onto IL-178. Continue on IL-178 for approximately 5 miles. Matthiessen State Park will be located on your left at 2500 IL-178, Oglesby, IL 61348. Look for the park entrance, where you can find parking.
Public Transportation
If you are using public transportation, you can take a Greyhound Bus to Oglesby, IL. Once you arrive at the Oglesby bus station, you will need to take a taxi or rideshare service (like Uber or Lyft) to reach Matthiessen State Park at 2500 IL-178.
