If you're traveling by car within the Driftless Area, head towards Galena, Illinois. From US-20, take the exit towards Galena. Continue on Main Street until you reach Bouthillier Street. Turn left onto Bouthillier Street, and the U.S. Grant Home State Historic Site will be on your right at 500 Bouthillier St, Galena, IL 61036. There is free parking available on-site. Note that while entry is free, a suggested donation of $5 per person is appreciated.
