Walking
The Mining & Rollo Jamison Museums are located at 405 E Main St in Platteville's downtown area. If you are already in the downtown area, the museums are easily accessible on foot. From City Hall, walk east on Main Street for approximately three blocks. The museums will be on your left, at the top of the hill.
Driving
If driving from US-151 N, take exit 19 and turn onto WI-80 N/WI-80 Trunk N/WI-81/State Rd 80 N towards Platteville. Turn right onto E Main St. The Museums are on the left at the top of the hill. Street parking is available along Main Street and Virgin Avenue. Check posted signs for any parking restrictions. Downtown reserved parking is available, but all lots are currently full. Contact the city to be added to the waiting list.
Public Transport
The Platteville Public Bus operates five days a week. All UW-Platteville students ride free with their campus ID. Check the bus schedule for the most up-to-date route information to the museums.
