Getting There

  • Bus

    From downtown Elgin, walk to the Elgin Transportation Center located at 2 N Grove Ave. Take the Pace Bus Route 804 towards 'Winnetka'. The bus will take you directly to Lincoln Ave & Elm St in Winnetka. From there, walk south on Lincoln Ave for about 5 minutes until you reach 620 Lincoln Ave, the Community House.

  • Train

    Head to the Elgin Metra Station at 120 S Grove Ave. Board the Metra Union Pacific Northwest Line train towards Chicago. Get off at the 'Cary' station. From the Cary station, you can catch a taxi or use a rideshare service to reach 620 Lincoln Ave, Winnetka, which is about 8 miles away.

  • Bicycle

    If you prefer cycling, you can rent a bike from a local rental shop in Elgin. Start at the Elgin Riverwalk and follow the bike path heading east towards the Fox River Trail. Continue north on the trail until you reach the intersection with Route 22 (Dundee Rd), then head east until you reach Lincoln Ave in Winnetka. Follow Lincoln Ave south for a short distance to arrive at 620 Lincoln Ave.

    If you are nearby, simply walk to Lincoln Ave. From the Elgin Public Library at 270 N Grove Ave, head west on Villa St towards the Fox River and then turn left onto State St. Walk north until you reach the intersection with Lincoln Ave. Continue walking north on Lincoln Ave until you reach 620 Lincoln Ave, the Community House.
