Getting There

• Walking

  The Elgin Symphony Orchestra primarily performs at the Hemmens Cultural Center, located at 45 Symphony Way in downtown Elgin. From the Elgin Transportation Center (which is next to the Elgin Metra station), walk east on Chicago Street, then turn right onto Grove Avenue/Symphony Way. The Hemmens Cultural Center will be on your left. The walk is approximately 0.2 miles and should take about 5 minutes.

• Public Transport

  The Elgin Transportation Center is the central hub for Pace bus system in the Elgin area. From various points in Elgin, use Pace bus routes to reach the Elgin Transportation Center. From there, follow the walking directions to the Hemmens Cultural Center. A single ride on Pace costs $1.75.

• Driving

  The Hemmens Cultural Center is located at 45 Symphony Way, Elgin, IL 60120. From the north, exit I-90 at Route 31. Take Route 31 south to Kimball Street. Turn left and proceed over the bridge. Turn right onto Grove Avenue/Symphony Way. The Centre and Hemmens will be located on your left. Parking is available in the four-story parking deck at Douglas and Symphony Way, as well as a parking lot on the corner of Kimball and Symphony Way. Valet parking is sometimes available for Elgin Symphony Orchestra events. Free public parking is available. Check cityofelgin.org/parking for more information on downtown parking options.
