Car
From Illinois Beach State Park, exit the park and head north on North Lake Shore Drive (IL-131 N) towards Waukegan. Continue for approximately 5 miles until you reach Sheridan Road. Turn left onto Sheridan Road (US-41 N) and follow it for about 1.5 miles. Bowen Park will be on your right at 1800 N Sheridan Rd, Waukegan, IL 60085. There is no parking fee, but be sure to check for any specific parking signs or regulations.

Public Transportation
Take the Pace Bus Route 570 from Illinois Beach State Park to the Waukegan Transit Center. This will involve a transfer at the Waukegan Transit Center to Route 10 or Route 20. Once you arrive at the Waukegan Transit Center, you can catch either Route 10 or Route 20 towards Sheridan Road. Get off at the stop closest to 1800 N Sheridan Rd. Bowen Park is a short walk from there. Be sure to check the Pace Bus schedule for exact times and transfers, as fares apply for each ride.
