From most locations in the Illinois Ozarks, you can use the following directions: If you are near Carbondale, take IL-13 E towards Makanda. Continue on IL-13 E for about 12 miles. Once you reach Makanda, turn onto Giant City Rd (also marked with signs for Giant City State Park). Follow Giant City Rd for about 2 miles; the park entrance will be on your left at 235 Giant City Rd, Makanda, IL 62958. There is no entrance fee for the park.
