Continue on IL-178 for about 2 miles until you reach the intersection with River Trail. Turn left onto River Trail and follow it for approximately 1 mile. You will see signs indicating the direction to Beehive Overlook Beach. The beach is located on the right side of the road. There is no fee for parking at the beach area.

If you are using public transportation, take a bus to Oglesby, IL. From the Oglesby bus station, you will need to walk approximately 1.5 miles to reach Beehive Overlook Beach. Head south on IL-178, then turn left onto River Trail. Follow River Trail until you see the signs for Beehive Overlook Beach.
