    Getting There

    Walking

    From the main parking area of Matthiessen State Park, head towards the entrance of the park. Follow the signs that direct you towards the Hennepin Canyon Trail. The trailhead is clearly marked and begins with a slight incline. Continue along the trail, which will take you through beautiful wooded areas and alongside the river. Keep following the marked path for about 1 mile until you reach the scenic Hennepin Canyon. The trail is well-maintained but can be rocky in places, so wear sturdy footwear.

    Biking

    If you have a bike, you can use the park's biking trails. Start at the main entrance of Matthiessen State Park and follow the biking routes that lead towards Hennepin Canyon. The biking path is about 1 mile long and is generally flat, making for a pleasant ride. Be cautious of other hikers and wildlife along the way. Once you reach Hennepin Canyon, park your bike in the designated bike rack near the trailhead.
