From Matthiessen State Park, start by exiting the park through the main entrance. Turn right onto IL-178 N and continue for approximately 1 mile. Merge onto I-80 W via the ramp to Chicago. After about 10 miles, take exit 90 for IL-23 N toward Ottawa. Continue on IL-23 N for about 7 miles until you reach Ottawa. Once in Ottawa, follow the signs to Kaskaskia Canyon, which is located near the intersection of E. 6th Rd and Kaskaskia Canyon Rd.
