Getting There

  • Car

    From Matthiessen State Park, exit the park and head west on IL-178 N. After about 1 mile, turn left onto IL-71 W. Continue on IL-71 W for approximately 5 miles until you reach the intersection with IL-351. Turn right onto IL-351 N and follow the road for about 3 miles. Then, turn left onto IL-71 W again. Follow IL-71 W for another mile, and then make a right onto E 4th Rd. After about half a mile, you'll see signs for Starved Rock State Park on your left. The park entrance is located at 2678 E 875th Rd, Oglesby, IL 61348.

    While direct public transportation options are limited, you can take a regional bus from the L-P Transit service. Start by walking to the nearest bus stop in Oglesby or LaSalle.
