If you are driving to Matthiessen State Park, take I-39 and exit at IL-71. Follow IL-71 to the entrance of Matthiessen State Park. Once inside, proceed to the main parking lot. From there, you will need to walk to Wildcat Canyon as there are no vehicle access points directly to the canyon.
