    To reach Black Hawk State Historic Site by car from anywhere in Metro East, first locate your nearest major road that connects to I-74. If you are near East St. Louis, take the Martin Luther King Bridge to connect to I-55/I-64. Head north and merge onto I-74 towards Peoria. Continue on I-74 for approximately 15 miles until you reach the exit for IL-92 W/US-67 N. Follow the signs for IL-92 W. After about 5 miles, take the exit toward 46th Avenue. Turn left onto 46th Avenue, and the park entrance will be on your left. There is no parking fee at the site.

From there, transfer to a local bus that services the Rock Island area; specifically, look for bus routes that head towards Rock Island or Moline.
