Public Transportation - Train

From Naperville, head to the Naperville Metra train station located at 105 E 4th Ave. Purchase a ticket for the BNSF Railway line to Chicago Union Station. Once on the train, enjoy the ride to downtown Chicago, which takes about 40 minutes. Upon arriving at Union Station, follow the signs to the CTA 'L' train.
Public Transportation - CTA Train

At Union Station, board the CTA Blue Line train towards Forest Park. Travel for 3 stops and transfer at Clark/Lake station to the Brown Line. From there, take the Brown Line towards Kimball and get off at the Washington/Wells station. Finally, walk to the State/Lake station to transfer to the Red Line.
Public Transportation - Bus

After taking the Red Line from State/Lake station, ride it towards 95th/Dan Ryan. Get off at the Harold Washington Library station. From there, catch the #146 bus towards Museum Campus/Adler Planetarium. The bus will drop you off right at the entrance of the Adler Planetarium.
Walking

If you prefer walking, from the bus stop at the Adler Planetarium, take a short walk south along S Lake Shore Drive. The Adler Planetarium will be on your left. The walk is approximately 5 minutes, and you can enjoy the beautiful views of Lake Michigan along the way.
