From downtown Naperville, walk to the Naperville Metra Station located at 105 E 4th Ave. Take the BNSF Railway line towards Chicago Union Station. After approximately 30 minutes, disembark at the Chicago Union Station. From there, you can take the Green Line 'L' train from the Ogilvie Transportation Center (a short walk from Union Station) towards Cottage Grove. After about 15 minutes, get off at the 51st Street Station. From the 51st Street Station, walk east for about 10 minutes until you reach the Frederick C. Robie House at 5757 S Woodlawn Ave.

From downtown Naperville, walk to the nearest bus stop and take Pace Bus 855 towards Oak Brook. After approximately 45 minutes, transfer at the Oak Brook Center to the Pace Bus 755 towards Chicago. After about 30 minutes, get off at 57th St & Woodlawn Ave. From there, walk north on Woodlawn Ave for about 5 minutes to reach the Frederick C. Robie House.
