Public Bus
From downtown Naperville, walk to the nearest bus stop at Washington & Jefferson. Take the Pace bus route 855 towards the Aurora Transportation Center. After about 30 minutes, transfer to the Metra train at the Aurora station and take the train towards Chicago Union Station. After approximately 45 minutes, get off at the Chicago Union Station. Walk to the Clark/Lake station and transfer to the Brown Line train towards Kimball. Disembark at the Armitage station. From there, it's about a 10-minute walk to Lincoln Park Zoo. Head east on Armitage Avenue and then turn south on Lincoln Park West, following the signs to the zoo.

Walk to the Naperville Metra Station located at 105 E 4th Ave. Board the Metra train on the BNSF Railway line towards Chicago Union Station. The journey takes around 40 minutes. Once you arrive at Union Station, exit and walk to the Clark/Lake station to catch the Brown Line. Take the Brown Line train towards Kimball and get off at the Armitage station. From there, it's a 10-minute walk to Lincoln Park Zoo. Head east on Armitage Avenue and turn south on Lincoln Park West, following the signs to the zoo.

If you're feeling adventurous and want to bike, rent a bike from a local shop in Naperville. Start at the Riverwalk and head southeast on the DuPage River Trail. Continue on the trail until you reach the I-88 underpass. Follow the trail until it connects to the Illinois Prairie Path. Cycle towards Wheaton, then take the route to the Metra train station in Wheaton. Board the train to Chicago and follow the directions for the train transfer to the Brown Line at Clark/Lake station. Disembark at Armitage station and walk to Lincoln Park Zoo.
