Public Transit - Train
From Naperville, walk to the Naperville Metra Station located at 105 E 4th Ave. Take the BNSF Railway Line toward Chicago Union Station. The train ride will take about 30 minutes. Once you arrive at the Chicago Union Station, transfer to the CTA Red Line at the nearby State/Lake station. Take the Red Line toward 95th/Dan Ryan and get off at the 47th station. From there, transfer to the CTA Green Line at the Kedzie station. Ride the Green Line toward Ashland and get off at the Cottage Grove station. Finally, walk east on 47th St toward Ellis Ave, and turn right onto Ellis Ave. The University of Chicago will be on your left at 5801 S Ellis Ave.

Public Transit - Bus
From Naperville, walk to the nearest Pace bus stop. Take Pace Route 755 toward the Aurora Transportation Center. After approximately 15 minutes, get off at the Aurora Transportation Center. From there, transfer to Metra's BNSF Railway Line and head toward Chicago Union Station. Once you reach Union Station, follow the directions for the train option above to take the CTA Red Line and then the Green Line toward The University of Chicago. Walk from the Cottage Grove station east on 47th St to Ellis Ave and then south to your destination.

If you are already in the Hyde Park area, simply walk to 5801 S Ellis Ave. Start on 47th St and head east until you reach Ellis Ave. Turn right on Ellis Ave and continue walking until you reach The University of Chicago, which will be on your left.
