The Old Blacksmith Shop is located at 245 N Commerce St, in the northeast part of Galena's town center, making it easily accessible on foot from most downtown locations. From the intersection of Main Street and Commerce Street, walk north on Commerce Street for a few blocks. The shop will be on your left.

Jo Daviess County Transit provides public transportation in Galena. Contact them in advance to schedule a ride and confirm schedules and fares. Request a drop-off at the nearest point to downtown Galena. From there, walk east on US-20, then turn left onto N Main St. Continue walking for about 0.5 miles until you reach N Commerce St. The Old Blacksmith Shop will be on your left at 245 N Commerce St. Fares vary depending on the distance, generally between $0.50 and $3 each way within Galena. A 24-hour advance notice is required.
Driving
From US-20, take the exit toward Galena, which leads you to N Main St. Follow N Main St into Galena for about 1 mile. As you come into the downtown area, turn right onto N Commerce St. The Old Blacksmith Shop will be on your left at 245 N Commerce St. Parking is available on the street, but may be limited during busy times. Free parking lots are located near the Old Train Depot Visitors' Information Center, with pedestrian access to downtown. An all-day paid parking lot is located north of downtown on Meeker Street for $5 per day on weekends and free Monday-Friday.
