Getting There

• Car

  To reach Illini State Park by car, start by getting onto I-80 E from your current location in Northern Illinois. Depending on where you are, you may need to navigate local roads to connect to I-80. Once on I-80 E, continue for approximately 20 miles until you reach exit 112 for IL-23 N toward Marseilles. Take exit 112 and turn left onto IL-23 N. Follow IL-23 N for about 5 miles, then turn right onto E 2350th Rd. Continue straight for about 1 mile, and you will arrive at Illini State Park located at 2660 E 2350th Rd, Marseilles, IL 61341. Be sure to check for any parking fees or permits required at the park entrance.

• Public Transportation

  If you prefer public transportation, start by taking a Metra train from your nearest station to the Morris station on the Heritage Corridor Line. Check the Metra schedule for departure times. Upon arrival at the Morris station, you will need to take a taxi or rideshare service to reach Illini State Park, as there is no direct public transportation to the park. The distance from the Morris station to the park is approximately 10 miles, and the taxi fare may range from $20 to $30 depending on traffic.

• Bicycle

  For the more adventurous, biking to Illini State Park is a great option if you're close enough. From downtown Marseilles, you can take local roads heading east towards E 2350th Rd. Be cautious while biking as some roads might not have designated bike lanes. The park entrance at 2660 E 2350th Rd is accessible by bike, and it’s advisable to wear a helmet and follow all traffic rules.
