Public Bus
From Oak Lawn, head to the nearest bus stop for the PACE bus service. Look for the bus route 349 which goes towards Chicago. Once you board the bus, stay on until you reach the '95th & Western' stop. Transfer to the CTA Red Line train at the 95th/Dan Ryan station. Take the train northbound towards Howard. Get off at the 'Garfield' station. From there, transfer to the #55 bus towards 'Cottage Grove'. Get off at the '55th & Lake Shore Drive' stop. Walk east towards the lake, and you will find Burnham Park Promontory Point at 5491 S DuSable Lake Shore Drive.
Bicycle
If you're comfortable biking, you can rent a bike from a local bike-sharing service. Start by heading east on 95th Street towards the Lake. Continue straight until you reach the Lake Shore Drive bike path. Follow the bike path north, and you will arrive at Burnham Park Promontory Point located at 5491 S DuSable Lake Shore Drive. This path provides scenic views of the lake and is a great ride!
Walking
For those who enjoy walking, start from the Oak Lawn Village Hall located at 9446 S Raymond Ave. Walk east on 95th Street until you reach Cicero Avenue. Turn north on Cicero and continue until you reach 79th Street. Turn east on 79th Street and walk until you reach the Lake Shore Drive path. Continue walking north along Lake Shore Drive. You will see signs for Burnham Park Promontory Point, which is located at 5491 S DuSable Lake Shore Drive.
