Get off at the 'Garfield' station. From there, transfer to the #55 bus towards 'Cottage Grove'. Get off at the '55th & Lake Shore Drive' stop. Walk east towards the lake, and you will find Burnham Park Promontory Point at 5491 S DuSable Lake Shore Drive.
