From anywhere in Oak Lawn, head to the Oak Lawn Metra Station located at 95th St and S. Ridgeland Ave. Board the Metra train on the SouthWest Service line towards Chicago Union Station. After approximately 30 minutes, disembark at the 18th St. station. Once you exit the station, walk east to the intersection of 18th St and W. Polk St. From there, catch the #12 Bus (Halsted) heading north. After about 10 minutes, get off at the 18th St & Michigan Ave stop. Walk east along 18th St until you reach S. Lake Shore Dr. Turn left and walk north; the Field Museum will be on your right at 1400 S Lake Shore Dr.
