Public Transit
To reach the United Center from Oak Lawn, start by walking to the nearest Metra station, Oak Lawn Station. Board the Metra Rock Island Line train heading towards Chicago. After approximately 30 minutes, disembark at the 18th Street station. From there, transfer to the CTA Pink Line at 18th station. Ride the Pink Line towards the Polk station. Get off at Polk and walk north to W. 18th St. Turn left on W. 18th St. and head east until you reach S. Ashland Ave. Turn right onto S. Ashland Ave and walk north until you get to W. Madison St. The United Center will be on your left at 1901 W Madison St.

Alternatively, you can take the Pace bus #349 from Oak Lawn to the Midway Airport. From there, catch the CTA Orange Line train towards the Loop. Transfer to the Blue Line at the Washington station, heading towards Forest Park. Disembark at the UIC-Halsted station, and then walk north on S. Halsted St. until you reach W. Madison St. Turn left onto W. Madison St., and you will arrive at the United Center located at 1901 W Madison St.

If you prefer to walk, you can start from the Oak Lawn Village Center and head north. Walk along Cicero Ave until you reach 95th Street. At 95th Street, head east until you reach Pulaski Rd. Then, head north on Pulaski Rd until you reach W. Madison St. Turn left onto W. Madison St, and continue walking until you reach the United Center at 1901 W Madison St. This route is approximately 8 miles and may take around 2 to 2.5 hours.
