Train
From Palatine Metra Station, board the Union Pacific Northwest Line train towards Chicago. The journey takes approximately 45 minutes. Get off at the Ogilvie Transportation Center. Once you exit the station, follow signs to the 'Chicago Union Station' and transfer to the CTA Red Line train towards 95th/Dan Ryan. Ride for 3 stops and get off at the State/Lake station. From here, walk east on Lake Street, then turn left onto Wacker Drive and continue until you reach East Ida B. Wells Drive. The Auditorium Theatre will be on your right.

Bus
Walk to the nearest bus stop on N. Northwest Hwy & E. Dundee Rd. Take the Pace Bus Route 696 towards the Arlington Heights Metra Station. Ride for about 30 minutes until you reach the stop at Arlington Park. Transfer to the Metra train heading towards Chicago. Get off at the Ogilvie Transportation Center. From Ogilvie, follow the same directions as above to take the CTA Red Line train to State/Lake station. Walk east to reach the Auditorium Theatre.

If you prefer biking, rent a bike from a local bike-sharing service. Start at the Palatine Park District and head south on the bike path along the river. Follow the path to the Des Plaines River Trail. Continue on this trail until you reach the intersection with the busier streets leading into Chicago.
