    To get to the Chicago Children's Museum from anywhere in Palatine, first locate the nearest bus stop for Pace Bus Route 696. This bus will take you to the Palatine Train Station. Once at the train station, board the Metra Union Pacific Northwest Line heading towards Chicago. After approximately 40 minutes, disembark at the Ogilvie Transportation Center. From there, walk to the nearby Washington/Wells station to catch the 'L' train on the Brown Line. Travel towards Kimball and transfer at the Clark/Lake station to switch to the Red Line. Ride the Red Line towards 95th/Dan Ryan and get off at the State/Lake station. Finally, walk east towards Lake Michigan, and head to 700 E Grand Ave. The museum will be on your left.

    From Palatine, head to the Palatine Train Station and take the Metra Union Pacific Northwest Line train towards Chicago. The train ride takes about 40 minutes. Walk north on State St until you reach E Grand Ave. Turn right and continue walking until you arrive at the Chicago Children's Museum located at 700 E Grand Ave.
