From Palatine, head to the Palatine Train Station located at 137 W Wood St. Board the Metra Union Pacific Northwest Line train heading towards Chicago. The trains run frequently, so check the schedule for the next departure. Stay on the train for approximately 40 minutes until you reach the Ogilvie Transportation Center in downtown Chicago.

Once you arrive at Ogilvie Transportation Center, exit the station and walk towards the intersection of W Adams St and N Canal St. From here, head east along W Adams St until you reach N State St. Turn left (north) on N State St and continue walking until you reach E Randolph St. Turn right (east) on E Randolph St. Continue walking for a few blocks until you arrive at 201 E Randolph St, where you will find Cloud Gate in Millennium Park.

After arriving at Ogilvie Transportation Center, you can also take the #151 bus from the nearby bus stop at W Adams St & N Canal St. Board the bus heading towards the Museum Campus. Ride the bus for about 10-15 minutes and get off at the stop on E Randolph St & S Michigan Ave. From there, walk a short distance east on E Randolph St to arrive at Cloud Gate.
