Cross the highway and continue walking along N Smith St until you reach W Dundee Rd. Turn right on W Dundee Rd, and after about 0.5 miles, you will see the entrance to Deer Grove Forest Preserve on your left.

    From the Palatine Metra Station, take the Pace Bus Route 659 towards Barrington. Get off at the stop near W Dundee Rd & N Smith St (approximately 4 stops). From there, walk east on W Dundee Rd for about 0.3 miles, and you will find the entrance to Deer Grove Forest Preserve on your right.

  • Biking

    If you have a bike, start at the Palatine Library. Head north on N Benton St until you reach E Dundee Rd. Turn right on E Dundee Rd and continue for about 1 mile. Then, turn left onto N Smith St and follow it to W Dundee Rd. Turn right and continue for about 0.5 miles. The entrance to Deer Grove Forest Preserve will be on your left.
